NAMASTE,

About the pictures : the team getting ready to cross a river, barefoot. Feet were half-frozen when we were done 😂❄

Also friends walking in the desert (coucou @diane_cdln) more sceneries, households (our ladhaki grannie Dorma who took so much care of us) and a local bakery in Leh, the capital. We tried a pizza-kind of bread at this shop, so yummy ! 🍞

  • You can absolutely save this for your next trip ✔😍

Expect a lot of calm, horses, dreamy lunar sceneries and 5/6 hours of walk per day in the Markha Valley (intermediate trek level)📍

This place is also called little tibet and is located in North India 🇮🇳

I am for sure looking forward to go back, again!

─

⛺ We slept into tents on the 4th evening. From the camp, which clearly looked like Mongolians steps, we could see snow on other higher peaks (wayyy higher, only pro alipinist would go there at night, so the snow doesn't melt under their feets)

🧄 my friends tried raw garlic as a medicine for headache due to hight. Interesting right ?

🏃‍♀️ The last day of trek was 100% going up the whole morning ; we kind of splitted with the team so everyone could walk on his/her own rythm. When meeting the final peak, my eyes couldn't see anything because I had no energy left, literally!

🍳I remember I just sat on the dusty ground, ate eggs from my lunchbox like a booster shot...and finally opened my eyes to the scenery! WAOH it's pretty here! Are we done going up? 👀 😂

─

You can see on the last picture : the view after the ascension ! Yes, we did it 🥳

  • Yes, this is India. Would you like to visit Ladhak with me ? One of my favorite spots on earth for sure ;-)

─

Visiting India during monsoon was actually a brillant idea. There are many spots where it doesn't rain at all (the country is huge right) and we were lucky enough to get there.

After a Paris > Delhi then Delhi > Leh flight, we needed 2 days of acclimatation in the city before heading to one of Himalayas "chill" peaks.

I wasn't ready for such magnificent views and energy. Walking for 6 hours a day in the sun, with a backpack, and stoping randomly in village houses for the night was a life-changing experience.

For 5 days, we just walked. It was intense. We only met few beeings on the path : cows, donkeys, horses & few people from villages. And when I talk about villages, it means 1 to 5 houses in the middle of nowhere. We had no wi-fi, but felt 100% connected to the moment !

Showering with the cold river water (natur booster!), eating on the carpet some homemade traditionnal dishes, trying to communicate with cute granmmas and kids with hand movements and facial expressions (oh god it was funny on both sides, we managed to understand many things actually), making up strategies to wake up early and avoid the sun = the coolest moments I will keep forever to myself.

Ladhak, you really stole our hearts away. And thank youuu guys @rachitasaharan & @one.jaz who inspired me to visit this magical land ! 🏔🤍

🌬 TIPS :
• visiting Ladhak in August is perfect
• get 2 days of acclimatation in Leh before trekking
• there are "easy" and very pro treks so you can enjoy your stay whether you are experienced trekker or not
• we chose the Markha Valley trek, 5 days, intermediate level
• live the best experience ever.

  • For those friends asking why I spend half of my time in India, I will answer your question with photos soon 🌞 Just got back from this mystical country, once again, the spirit full of magical emotions.
  • So, which parisian are you?🧃

I have enjoyed so much daydreaming & walking in my own city these few days. Paris is so dreamy in August : very few people | you have the time to stop, look around. See the details, the people.

Yes, this is India.

• get 2 days of acclimatation in Leh before trekking
• there are "easy" and very pro treks so you can enjoy your stay whether you are experienced trekker or not
• we chose the Markha Valley trek, 5 days, intermediate level
• live the best experience ever.

Yes, this is India.

So, which parisian are you?🧃 I have enjoyed so much daydreaming & walking in my own city these few days. Paris is so dreamy in August : very few people | you have the time to stop, look around. See the details, the people. #parisvibes #streetsofparis #ig_paris #parisinsummer #ig_travelerworld #parisienne #parisvisit #parisvisit #parismonamour #parisiens #paristyle
