Pole dance and Wellness Retreat in Sri Lanka

Pole dance, Move & Reconnect in a Tropical Paradise. By the wild ocean.

February 7th–15th, 2026 (9 days / 8 nights)

A transformative journey through movement, nature & sensuality

THE DESTINATION >

Welcome to a one-of-a-kind pole dance and wellness retreat set in the heart of Sri Lanka’s lush south coast, just minutes from the relaxed beach and surf town of Ahangama.

Think golden beaches, coconut palms, colorful tuk-tuks, and a vibrant local scene filled with beach cafés, fresh tropical food, and sunsets that leave you speechless.

We’ll be staying in a peaceful oasis close to the ocean: a space designed for movement, creativity, and reconnection. Here, your days will be filled with pole dance workshops, dance sessions, wellness practices, and the freedom to explore your inner goddess, and unwind.

This part of Sri Lanka is known for its laid-back energy, artistic community, and untouched natural beauty. Whether you’re walking barefoot on the sand, sipping fresh coconuts, or flowing through a dance session with the ocean breeze, this retreat is your chance to reset and rise.

ACCOMODATION  >

Tucked away in the peaceful village of Ahangama, just 200 meters from the beach, our private boutique wellness retreat villa offers the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and tropical beauty. Located minutes from the scenic Galle–Matara coastal road, you’ll be steps from Sri Lanka’s best surfing beaches, sea-view cafés, and cozy local shops.

Surrounded by coconut palms, kiripalu trees, blooming orchids, and wild ferns, the property is a lush oasis designed for relaxation, reconnection, and renewal. This spacious villa features an elegant home, a swimming pool, and tranquil garden spaces alive with birdsong, butterflies, and fragrant tropical blooms. Enjoy by the pool or by your window watching the peacocks, monkeys, and mongoose roam on the property.

The villa includes four serene bedrooms, each with views of the lush garden and thoughtfully designed for deep rest and restoration.

Each room features:

  • En-suite bathroom with rain shower
  • One queen Size bed (and one extra single bed in two rooms)
  • Air conditioning (AC) and ceiling fan
  • Garden/Pool view
All rooms are shared (2 to 3 people per room), but can also be private (additional cost) if you wish to enjoy your own space throughout the retreat; in this case, we will suggest you one beautiful room in the boutique hotel next door.

Between dance, wellness workshops  and beach adventures, you can unwind in shaded outdoor lounge areas, relax by the pool, or enjoy the peaceful rhythm of tropical life beneath the swaying palms.

THE WEATHER  >

February is one of the best months to visit the south coast of Sri Lanka. Expect warm, sunny days with temperatures ranging between 27°C and 32°C, and cooler, comfortable nights around 23°C. Ideal for both outdoor movement and restful sleep.

This time of year offers clear skies, low humidity, and minimal rainfall, making it the perfect season to enjoy beach walks, sunset swims, and open-air pole and dance sessions. You will enjoy the tropical sunshine, ocean breeze, and perfect temperatures for movement.

The Pole dance experience :

THE POLE STUDIO W/ AIR CONDITIONING >

Our bright, pole studio is a 30-minute walk through lush jungle or a quick 5-minute tuk-tuk ride (transportation is not included, but perfect for lazy days!) from the villa.

The studio is equipped with AC, so we all have a good grip on the heat and humidity, keeping you cool and comfortable while you train.

While the villa is near the beach, the studio is tucked away more towards the backside, offering a peaceful, authentic glimpse of Ahangama’s wild beauty: shaded paths, tropical greenery, and local village life away from the tourist crowds.

THE CLASSES  >

This retreat is not just about pole tricks. It’s an invitation to explore your relationship to movement, sensuality, and embodied expression. Whether you’re spinning around a pole, gliding across the floor, or exploring the wisdom of your pelvis, each session is a celebration of the feminine body in motion.

  • Sensual Flow Choreography — unlocking body waves, hairflicks, twerks & undulations
  • Freestyle Tools & creative exploration — tapping into feeling instead of performing, finding & expressing your authentic style
  • Stripperella — exploring the art of teasing and undressing
  • Floorwork — playful, sexy, sensual movement on the floor
  • Sluth Pole — reclaiming erotic power through slowness, unapologetic movement & presence
  • Valentines Specials — lapdance & themed sensual play (on February 14th)
  • & also, Sacred Goddess Workshops — these sessions are an invitation to reconnect with the divine feminine within. Through themes like The Power of Pelvic Pleasure, Libido Waves like the Ocean Tide, and Diving Deep into Feminine Sensuality, Mareen gently guides you through somatic practices, embodiment, and deep inner exploration.

Through guided choreographies, freestyle tools, and themed workshops, you’ll deepen your connection to yourself and your sensual identity. In a space that feels safe, inclusive, and alive with sisterhood.

THE LEVEL  >

This retreat is open to all levels, from curious beginners to seasoned pole dancers.

We’ll meet you where you are. If you’re new to pole, this is the perfect environment to build confidence, explore your sensuality, and learn foundational movements in a supportive space. That said, to help you feel confident and get the most out of the experience, we recommend that you’ve taken at least a few pole dance classes before joining. You don’t need to be advanced; just comfortable enough around the pole to enjoy moving with it and explore your sensuality without stress.

If you already have a regular practice, you’ll be guided deeper into freestyle, flow choreography, and creative self-expression, with space to refine your style, play with floorwork, and connect to your personal “why” behind the movement.

Workshops are progressive, layered, and always optional. This is your journey, your pace.

Meet Mareen, your Pole Dance instructor & Sexologist :

WHO IS MAREEN >

Mareen is a professional pole dancer and sexologist (M.A.) with over a decade of teaching experience.
After running her own studio for many years in Germany, she now travels internationally (Europe, Sri Lanka, and soon Morocco) to teach workshops in pole dance, sensual movement, and sexology, and also offers online consultations. Her passion is guiding women into deeper connection with their bodies and helping them discover a joyful, pleasure-filled sexuality.

Rooted in the holistic Sexocorporel method, her work honors the body as a powerful source of pleasure, wisdom, and transformation.

TEACHING STYLE >

Mareen’s teaching style is rooted in kindness, inclusivity, and patience. She creates a space where every individual feels seen, heard, and supported, ensuring that you never feel rushed or judged. With her calm demeanor and nurturing approach, she fosters an environment where you can freely explore and connect with your body at your own pace. Her classes are more than just a chance to learn pole dance or sensual movement; they are an invitation to build sisterhood, engage in empowering girl talk, and embrace a deeper, more authentic relationship with yourself. Mareen’s presence ensures that you feel truly at home, no matter your background or experience level.

Flights, visa, arrival taxi :

VISA FOR SRI LANKA >

A visa is required to enter Sri Lanka. Most travelers can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) online before departure. The process is simple and usually takes just a few minutes to complete.

We recommend applying for the Tourist ETA via the official website: www.eta.gov.lk. The cost is approximately $50 USD, and the visa is typically valid for 30 days from the date of entry.

FLIGHTS TO SRI LANKA >
Flights to Sri Lanka typically involve a direct or connecting flight from Europe to Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport. For example, prices for flights from Germany to Colombo generally range between €600 and €900, depending on the airline.

Each participant is responsible for booking their own flights.

TAXI FROM AIRPORT TO THE VILLA >
Upon arrival at Colombo airport, we will help coordinate your transfer to the retreat location in Ahangama. The journey will be arranged in a private taxi to ensure a smooth and comfortable arrival. The taxi journey takes approximately 2 hours, depending on traffic.

We’ll also assist you in coordinating arrival times with other participants to help streamline transfer logistics when possible.
